EU Official Demands US Cos. Follow Data Protection Rules

Law360, New York (February 11, 2013, 5:05 PM EST) -- European Union Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding on Monday firmly rejected calls by U.S. companies for the commission to exempt them from proposed rules that would tighten the bloc's data protection regime, saying that limiting the regulation would be unfair to EU companies.
