Vivendi Can't Duck $1B Verdict Over Liberty Media Deal

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 5:26 PM EST) -- Vivendi Universal SA failed to persuade a New York federal judge Tuesday to set aside a €765 million ($1.03 billion) verdict to Liberty Media Corp. or obtain a new trial in a row accusing it of using its inflated stock to strike a deal to buy Liberty's stake in USA Networks Inc.
