Fed. Circ. Upholds Google Win In AdSense Patent Suit

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 8:18 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit on Wednesday affirmed an Eastern District of Texas jury's ruling that Google Inc.'s AdSense program did not infringe several Function Media LLC online advertising patents, and that the patents are invalid.

The appeals court found that one of the patents was correctly found to be indefinite and rejected Function's arguments that the verdict was contrary to the evidence, and that the judge incorrectly construed the claims of the patents and improperly let the jury decide claim construction issues.
