Pa. House OKs Bill To Keep $60M Penn State Fine In State

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 4:53 PM EST) -- The Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a bill to keep Pennsylvania State University's $60 million NCAA fine within the state, clearing the way for Gov. Tom Corbett to approve the measure related to the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal.

In a 194-2 vote, the house approved Senate Bill 187, joining the state Senate, which unanimously passed the bill Jan. 30. Gov. Corbett is expected to sign the legislation into law, according to Sen. Jake Corman, R-Centre County, who introduced the legislation.
