LA Fitness Dodges Consumer Fraud Suit Over Contract Waiver

Law360, Los Angeles (February 14, 2013, 3:42 PM EST) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday threw out a consumer class action claiming LA Fitness International LLC’s membership agreements induce health club members to waive their legal right to sue for premises liability and other torts, saying the plaintiff had failed to properly state claims.
