Target Sued Over "Organic Milk" That Wasn't Organic

Law360, New York (December 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A couple who said they purposely purchased organic milk because they believed it was healthier for their children have filed a proposed class action against Target Corp., after discovering that the pricier version was not actually organically produced.

The couple have based their claims on a U.S. Department of Agriculture report, which charged that the farm that produced Target's organic milk violated a long list of federal laws regulating organic products.
