Landlord Dodges Damages Over Breach Of Tenant Deal

Law360, Miami (February 21, 2013, 8:51 PM EST) -- A Florida appeals court ruled Wednesday that a lower court exceeded its jurisdiction to enforce a class settlement between an apartment operator and former tenants when it agreed to consider a damages claim alleging a breach of the agreement, granting the landlord's bid to block further litigation over the deal.
