Court Validates N.Y. Times' Denial Of Disability Claim

Law360, New York (December 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A district court has tossed a lawsuit that claimed a New York Times Co. rejection of an employee's disability claims was arbitrary and capricious.

The magistrate judge overseeing the case on Tuesday rejected the plaintiff's argument that The Times chose one doctor's opinion over another because it was more financially favorable for the company.
