NY Appeals Court Tosses Warhol Authenticity Contract Suit

Law360, New York (February 21, 2013, 7:32 PM EST) -- A New York state appeals court on Thursday threw out a photography dealer's breach of contract suit against the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board Inc. and others concerning the board's finding that a purported Andy Warhol drawing was not authentic.

A five-judge panel at the Supreme Court of New York's Appellate Division unanimously affirmed the dismissal of Addison Thompson's complaint against the Warhol authentication board and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Inc., according to a notice from the court's clerk.
