Honeywell, Others Roped Back Into $42M CERCLA Suit

Law360, New York (February 22, 2013, 9:19 PM EST) -- Several defendants in an Arizona subdivision's suit against Chevron USA Inc. and others over $42 million in contaminated groundwater cleanup costs filed a third-party complaint Thursday seeking to hold previously dismissed defendants including Honeywell International Inc. accountable for any eventual liability.

The third-party plaintiffs, led by the city of Phoenix, say Honeywell, Union Pacific Railroad Co.and other companies named as third-party defendants operate facilities that released the same contaminants for which they are facing potential liability.
