Geico Faces Class Action Over Auto Payments

Law360, New York (December 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Geico General Insurance Co. and its subsidiaries are facing a class action for allegedly cheating customers out of full reimbursement for automobile repairs by paying reduced prices for replacement parts.

Palm Beach County, Fla. resident Dorothy Giniebra filed a lawsuit on Dec. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Geico, Geico Indemnity Co. and Geico Casualty Co., claiming that the companies have reduced the price of replacement parts by a certain percentage in violation of their auto insurance contracts....
