Ex-Steelers Doc's Pharmacist Gets 2 Years For 'Roid Scheme

Law360, Philadelphia (February 26, 2013, 6:20 PM EST) -- A Pittsburgh pharmacist was sentenced Tuesday to 2 1/2 years in prison for helping a former team doctor for the Steelers football team illegally distribute steroids.

U.S. District Judge Maurice Cohill sentenced William Sadowski, operator of the ANEWrx pharmacy, to 30 months in prison for his role in a scheme to help Dr. Richard Rydze, who served as part of the Steelers medical team for 22 years, illegally prescribe steroids, painkillers and human growth hormone to patients.
