GAO Nixes Protests Over $373M Medicare Contract

Law360, New York (February 27, 2013, 9:59 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office on Tuesday denied protests by two contractors who lost out on a $373 million Medicare administrative contract, rejecting arguments that the Department of Health and Human Services had unfairly evaluated their past performance, technical proposals and prices.

Palmetto GBA LLC and CGS Administrators LLC protested several aspects of HHS' decision making in choosing Noridian Administrative Services LLC to provide administrative services for Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B fee-for-service benefit claims.
