Tribune Appeals FCC's Limited Waivers

Law360, New York (December 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Tribune Co. has appealed the Federal Communications Commission's decision to grant the company exemptions from media ownership rules for a limited amount of time — an order that critics say actually gave the company more than it asked for.

Just days after the FCC approved real estate magnate Sam Zell's buyout of the troubled media conglomerate, Tribune lodged a complaint with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
