Samsung Still Infringing Antenna Patents, Fractus Says

Law360, New York (March 1, 2013, 1:34 PM EST) -- Fractus SA sued Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in Texas federal court Thursday, alleging continued infringement of four mobile phone antenna patents that were at the heart of an earlier $38 million infringement judgment against Samsung.

Fractus said in a complaint that Samsung continues to infringe four patents covering antenna technology by making and selling “certain mobile phones with internal multiband antennas.” The suit — which involves the same patents asserted by Fractus in an earlier dispute — also alleges that Samsung's infringement was intentional.
