American Airlines Urges Court To Accept 9/11 Deal

Law360, New York (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- After years of wrangling over Sept. 11, 2001, liability, American Airlines is asking a Manhattan court to approve a tentative settlement reached between the carrier and the family of one of the passengers on board the plane that terrorists slammed into the Pentagon.

On Monday, American Airlines filed a memorandum of law encouraging the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to approve the settlement and dismiss with prejudice the complaint brought by the Asia Cottom family.
