Kindred Hospital Workers Win Class Cert. In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (March 6, 2013, 1:27 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Tuesday certified several classes made up of thousands of Kindred Healthcare Inc. workers who claim the hospital giant violated state labor laws by shorting them on overtime and meal breaks.

U.S. District Judge Dean D. Pregerson granted certification to five subclasses of workers on allegations including unpaid overtime for late hospital shifts and missed meal breaks, illegal meal break waivers and incomplete pay stubs.
