Pa. High Court Snubs Appeal Over 630-Acre Quarry Project

Law360, Philadelphia (March 7, 2013, 2:13 PM EST) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday shot down an appeal of a zoning decision brought by a company that had been seeking to build an approximately 630-acre quarry outside Allentown for nearly a decade.

Geryville Materials Inc. has several other pending challenges to zoning ordinances on the books in Lower Milford Township, but the decision by the justices quashing the appeal marks a major victory for the township and community opponents of the quarry.
