Clock Ticking For TM Owners To Protest New Web Domains

Law360, New York (March 8, 2013, 8:34 PM EST) -- Trademark owners concerned that any of nearly 2,000 applications for new top-level Internet domain names, such as .book or .pizza, could be confusingly similar or harmful to their brands have only a few days left to lodge their objections with the international body overseeing Internet addresses.

Wednesday is the deadline to submit objections as the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers weighs which of the thousands of proposed new top-level domain names will join the ranks of .com and .gov in Web addresses.
