Air Force Defends $428M Sierra Nevada Aircraft Contract

Law360, New York (March 11, 2013, 5:21 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Air Force said Monday that it had properly awarded a $427.5 million contract for light air support to a Sierra Nevada Corp. venture, responding to a formal bid protest from Beechcraft Corp., which had banked on the contract to smooth its glide out of bankruptcy.
