Gibson Dunn LLP Not Done In Hedge Fund Dispute

Law360, New York (December 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Finding that MapleWood Equity Partners LP did not follow court procedure, a federal judge on Wednesday tossed the hedge fund's motion to kick plaintiff's law firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP from a case over a credit agreement gone awry.

Judge Deborah A. Batts pointed out that MapleWood had filed a motion to disqualify Eugenia VI Venture Holdings Ltd.'s counsel, but without first requesting a premotion conference with the court.
