Aereo Can't Block FilmOn's 'Aero' Use In Trademark Row

Law360, New York (March 13, 2013, 3:30 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Tuesday denied a bid by Aereo Inc. for a temporary restraining order blocking billionaire Alki David and his rival FilmOn.com Inc. Internet television service from using the names “Aero” or “Aero.tv” while Aereo’s trademark suit plays out.

In chambers, U.S. District Judge Audrey B. Collins denied the ex parte application for a TRO without prejudice and without commenting on the matter.
