Law360, New York (March 13, 2013, 8:42 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday granted a small victory to bookseller Barnes & Noble Inc. in its dispute with Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. over e-commerce patents, ruling that Alcatel-Lucent cannot sue the bookseller over one of six patents at issue in the case.
U.S. District Judge George Daniels said in a lengthy Manhattan hearing that a patent licensing agreement means Alcatel-Lucent cannot assert claims related to one patent at issue in the dispute.
