11th Circ. Affirms Ex-Fla. Port Official's Bribery Conviction

Law360, Los Angeles (March 13, 2013, 11:14 PM EDT) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday denied a former Florida port official's latest bid for a new trial after being convicted of accepting $140,000 in illegal payments from a contractor, saying federal law prohibits public officials from taking bribes, regardless of an organization's potential economic losses.
