Lennar Wins $14M In Dispute Over Land Sale

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 1:58 PM EDT) -- Homebuilder Lennar Corp. escaped a $30 million suit in Florida state court Friday alleging it misrepresented the zoning of 220 acres of land it sold to another company, and won $14 million in successful counterclaims for defaulted mortgage payments.

Twentieth Judicial Circuit Judge Keith R. Kyle dismissed real estate company Olivia's Savannah LLC's claims that Lennar had told it that a master concept plan, which would allow construction on the 220 acres, was still valid, even though it had expired four months before the sale. He...
