NY Lawmaker Hit With Mail Fraud Charges In Bribery Scheme

Law360, New York (March 18, 2013, 5:29 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors on Monday added charges of mail fraud to their case against a member of the New York State Assembly from Brooklyn, whom they also accuse of bribery and extortion in connection with hospital real estate and carnival business deals.

William F. Boyland Jr. fraudulently submitted travel vouchers in which he falsely claimed to be in Albany on legislative business when he in fact was not in Albany, the superseding indictment charges.
