AT&T U-Verse Class Action Deserves Trial, High Court Told

Law360, Chicago (March 18, 2013, 7:11 PM EDT) -- A group of consumers have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to take up their putative class action accusing AT&T Inc. of fraud over its allegedly defective U-verse phone, Internet and television service, saying their right to a jury trial was trampled when the case was axed in favor of an arbitration clause.

In their March 11 petition for a writ of certiorari, the four plaintiffs argued that the Tenth Circuit had "brushed aside" competent evidence about AT&T's business practices even though it had been on notice...
