Ex-Milberg Weiss Partner Sues Firm For Legal Fees

Law360, New York (December 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former Milberg Weiss LLP partner Steven Schulman is taking his old firm to court for allegedly reneging on a promise to pay his legal bills after he agreed to plead guilty to racketeering charges stemming from his role in a multimillion-dollar client kickback scandal.

Schulman sued Milberg Weiss and successor firm Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP in a New York state court, calling for a preliminary injunction compelling the class action firms to pay the fees pending the outcome of arbitration.
