DOJ To Investigate Texas Judge For Impropriety

Law360, New York (December 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas who was suspended in September for allegedly sexually harassing a female employee is now also being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice, his lawyer confirmed.

Judge Samuel Kent also voluntarily spoke with the FBI at the end of November, his lawyer, top criminal defense attorney Dick DeGuerin said Wednesday.

Kent is being accused of groping a former employee, case manager Cathy McBroom, in his court chambers in Galveston, Texas.
