Sandusky Prosecutor Heads To Private Practice

Law360, Philadelphia (March 19, 2013, 5:16 PM EDT) -- Joe McGettigan, the lead prosecutor responsible for former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky’s conviction on 45 counts of child molestation, is headed for private practice, his new firm McAndrews Law Offices announced Monday.

McGettigan, who returned to the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office in fall of 2011 and was immediately assigned the Sandusky prosecution, will focus on cases involving crime victims in organizational or institutional settings at the 17-member McAndrews firm. He will work out of its main office in Berwyn, Pa., a Philadelphia suburb....
