Vitamin C Resellers Want Antitrust Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (December 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The two newest companies to be named in a multidistrict litigation against vitamin C makers and resellers have asked to be dismissed, saying the plaintiffs failed to establish a link between their conduct and the allegedly anti-competitive behavior of their parent companies.

The plaintiffs have not presented any proof suggesting that United States-based JSPCA America Inc. and Legend Ingredients Group Inc. conspired with Chinese vitamin C manufacturers to fix prices, the two companies contended in a motion filed on Friday.
