Chesapeake Gets Trial Date In $1.3B Row With Bondholders

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 8:43 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday set aside a date in late April for a trial on whether Chesapeake Energy Corp. can proceed with its plan to refinance $1.3 billion in bonds over bondholders’ objections.

U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer said he was prepared to hear evidence on the dispute in a bench trial tenatively set to be held April 23, 24 and 25.
