JPMorgan Deal Frees Up $546M For Ex-MF Global Customers

Law360, New York (March 20, 2013, 1:41 PM EDT) -- JPMorgan Chase Bank NA agreed to a deal that will free up over $546 million to be distributed to former U.S. customers of MF Global Inc., resolving all outstanding issues between the bank and the collapsed broker dealer.

Under the deal, JPMorgan will fork over $100 million and release liens and setoff rights related to $417 million it previously returned to MFGI’s estate, making them available for distribution to customers and creditors. The bank will also return more than $29 million in MFGI funds that it...
