Ericsson Likely Swiped Airvana Hardware Designs, Judge Says

Law360, New York (March 20, 2013, 6:42 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge found Tuesday that Airvana Network Solutions Inc. was likely to prove breach of contract claims in its $330 million suit alleging that Ericsson Inc. stole designs for cellphone data transmission hardware.

New York Supreme Court Judge Barbara R. Kapnick issued a preliminary injunction that blocks Ericsson from using hardware allegedly based on Airvana's designs. The judge said Airvana had shown that it was likely to succeed in proving claims that Ericsson breached a contract between the two companies.
