NY City Council Approves Hudson Square Rezoning

Law360, New York (March 20, 2013, 6:37 PM EDT) -- The New York City Council on Wednesday approved rezoning plans for Hudson Square, an area on the West Side of Manhattan where the city plans to create more affordable housing and a new historic district.

The council's land-use committee approved the plan to allow Trinity Real Estate and other major landholders in the district to expand last week, and Wednesday the full council passed the resolution with a commitment to designate part of the adjacent neighborhood a landmark.
