Counter-IED Maker Beats Whistleblower FCA Suit In 4th Circ.

Law360, Los Angeles (March 21, 2013, 5:01 PM EDT) -- The Fourth Circuit on Thursday sided with counter-improvised explosive devices manufacturer Impact Science & Technology Inc. in a False Claims Act suit brought by an engineer who said the company fired him because he reported fraudulent conduct to the government.

A three-judge panel affirmed U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz's August 2011 ruling that found that engineer Dennis P. Glynn failed to show that his discharge by Impact Science and its parent company EDO Corp. was motivated, even in part, by protected acts.
