Judge OKs Foster Wheeler's $1.64M Settlement

Law360, New York (December 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has signed off on a settlement agreement that allows Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. to settle litigation from residents who live near a former company plant for about $1.6 million.

Judge A. Richard Caputo of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said in a ruling Friday that the settlement agreement was fair, especially considering the difficulty the plaintiffs would likely have in proving their case.
