Xbox Doesn't Violate Motorola Patent, ITC Judge Says

Law360, New York (March 22, 2013, 9:48 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. on Friday won the latest round in a patent battle over its Xbox gaming console as an administrative law judge at the International Trade Commission ruled the technology did not violate a wireless patent owned by Google Inc.'s Motorola Mobility Inc.

Administrative Law Judge David P. Shaw ruled on the only survivor of a group of patents that were included in the original complaint Motorola filed with the ITC in November 2010. Patent No. 6,069,896 protects a technology for wireless connectivity.
