UnitedHealth Questions Lerach's Interest in Case

Law360, New York (December 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the putative multidistrict class action related to UnitedHealth Group Inc.'s alleged options backdating, a magistrate judge has heard arguments over whether the plaintiffs must disclose whether William Lerach, an attorney who pled guilty to illegal kickbacks, would benefit from attorneys' fees in the case.

The hearing Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota concerned the plaintiffs' motion to compel certain documents as part of the litigation's discovery phase.
