Dole Gets Claims Cut From 'All Natural' Labeling Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (March 26, 2013, 3:36 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday trimmed a proposed class action accusing Dole Food Co. Inc. of mislabeling its products as “all natural” and “low calorie,” saying the consumer plaintiffs had failed to state some claims.

The decision comes more than seven months after Dole urged the court to toss the suit, which accuses the company of violating California law by failing to follow federal food labeling guidelines.
