Williams & Connolly Sues Over Foreclosure Review Docs

Law360, Los Angeles (March 28, 2013, 9:02 PM EDT) -- Williams & Connolly LLP on Wednesday sued the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency over alleged Freedom of Information Act violations, demanding in Washington federal court that the bureau explain its selection of the controversial Independent Foreclosure Review's consulting firms.

Filing the suit on behalf of an undisclosed client, the firm questioned the independence of the consulting firms to the OCC, which hired them to conduct the foreclosure review process that was nixed in favor of a $9.3 billion settlement to 13 big banks. Since Williams...
