Alphatec Shakes Securities Suit Over French Firm Buy

Law360, New York (March 29, 2013, 6:15 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in California threw out a punitive securities class action Thursday accusing medical device firm Alphatec Holdings Inc. of exaggerating the benefits of a tie-up with a French medical firm, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to show how executives could have intentionally deceived shareholders.
