Texas Businessman Gets 15 Years For Biodiesel Scam

Law360, New York (March 29, 2013, 5:48 PM EDT) -- A Texas businessman was sentenced Friday to more than 15 years in federal prison for allegedly running a biofuel scam that defrauded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and his customers of $42 million he later used to buy cars, a military tank and basketball tickets.

Jeffrey D. Gunselman, 30, was sentenced to 188 months in prison on 51 counts of wire fraud and 24 counts of money laundering, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas. U.S. District Judge Sam Cummings also...
