Judge Throws Out Suit Over Accident At Oil Co.

Law360, New York (December 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has dismissed a lawsuit against Phillips Petroleum Company alleging it and others conspired to intentionally misrepresent the state of Phillips' workers' compensation insurance following a fatal industrial accident.

In a decision Tuesday, Judge Nancy Atlas of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas said the so-called Curry plaintiffs hadn't stated a claim that was legally viable even after they amended the complaint multiple times.
