Fla. Libel Case Tossed After Law Blogger Given Media Status

Law360, Miami (April 3, 2013, 7:05 PM EDT) -- In dismissing a defamation suit over a Fort Lauderdale attorney's blog post about real estate fraud, a Florida state judge made the potentially significant ruling Wednesday that he qualifies as a “media defendant” under state law and thus is afforded certain additional protections.
