GAO Shuts Down Protest Of $80M IRS Computer Contract

Law360, New York (April 3, 2013, 5:45 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office on Tuesday denied two spurned bidders' challenge to an $80 million computer contract the Internal Revenue Service gave to Strong Castle Inc., which has recently been in California Republican Rep. Darrell E. Issa's crosshairs.

Cincinnati-based Government Acquisitions Inc. and Luray, Va.-based PCi Tec Inc. had protested the IRS' decision to give the contract to supply computers and equipment to Leesburg, Va.-based Signet Computers Inc., which is now known as Strong Castle.
