NY Pol Took Cash To Draft Bogus Legislation, Feds Say

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 1:53 PM EDT) -- Democrat Eric A. Stevenson became the latest Empire State lawmaker to be charged with bribery Thursday as federal authorities accused the assemblyman of accepting envelopes full of cash from developers to help create a “local monopoly” for two planned adult day care centers in the Bronx.

Stevenson's arrest came just two days after six other New York politicos were hit with bribery and conspiracy charges Tuesday.
