MetLife Death Benefit Row Requires Board Action, Atty Argues

Law360, New York (April 5, 2013, 8:33 PM EDT) -- A Metlife Inc. attorney urged a New York state judge Friday to dismiss consolidated shareholder litigation against the insurer over allegations it withheld death benefits from policyholders' survivors, arguing that the plaintiffs hadn't first asked the board to deal with the allegations.
