Trade Secret Claims Against Lucent Ousted—Again

Law360 (January 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has granted summary judgment to Lucent Technologies Inc. and AT&T Inc. on Crater Corp.'s trade secrets claims over plans for the underwater coupler device they helped develop for the U.S. Navy, leaving just two breach of contract claims intact.

The suit has been bouncing between the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit since 1998. Crater's trade secrets claims have twice been dismissed, and in both instances the rulings were partially vacated...
