Miami Clinic Operators Sentenced for $55M Medicare Fraud

Law360, Miami (April 5, 2013, 8:07 PM EDT) -- The owners and operators of a Miami-based mental health clinic were sentenced Friday in Florida federal court for their roles in a scheme involving more than $55 million in fraudulent Medicare billings.

U.S. District Judge Robert N. Scola Jr. handed down prison sentences of 30 years for Antonio Macli, 25 years for his son Jorge Macli and nearly 22 years for daughter Sandra Huarte, plus three years' supervised release for all three.
